Late payment may result in the cancellation of your policy and thus would cease to provide cover for you. It may also incur fines or any other legal consequences. For example,  If you enter an accident after your vehicle insurance lapses and you haven’t paid to renew it, you'll have to pay out of pocket for any damages on your own plus bear some heavy fines and black points as per Lebanon law.
